While the app marketplace is filled with an assortment of time management apps, very few are provide the assist people need in a manner that is easy to use and effective. Lifease – Smart Organizer is a time management app that makes it easy to identify everything you need to get done and prioritize each one in way that clears the path to completion.
When you first download, the app provides a synopsis of tricks to quickly create events and tasks. You can page through each quick tip or opt out and get going.
The first and foremost neat thing about Lifease is that you can swipe left and right to get to different views. What I mean by this is if you swipe right on the areas that shows today’s date, the app will take you to the current week’s view. Swipe right again and you’ll get the current month’s view. Swipe right again and get the current year view. Now, going back to the today’s view, if you swipe left, it will take you to the Active tasks folder.
To create an event or task, simply swipe down from the “header” area and the app will prompt you to type in a title. Once done, you tap on the item to enter its details. You can select the date and time of the item. You can add a list of items associated with the task, like a shopping list. You can add links and attachments, invitees, alerts to remind you of item, which Calendar it belongs to (Business or Family), and a Location.
Another neat feature in the app is that it always shows you the next event or task near the top, just below what I would call the header. It’s a fast and efficient way of seeing what’s on deck. It you tap on it, the app will take you to the day on which the item occurs.
There’s a small “icon” that shows the current weather condition. If you tap on it, you will see the forecast for the next week or so, with data extracted from openweathermap.org. This allows you to make plans and consider the weather as you do so.
One thing I’d like to point out that I found different from other organizer apps is the ability to “book” your events and tasks onto your device calendar. Most apps I’ve seen don’t have this kind of integration, but Lifease does.
You can even allow Lifease to import Contacts from your device, so you can include them on your task, keeping them in the loop automatically. This is completely optional. You can enter in contacts as needed with each event.
Another neat feature is the ability to print screen, a data list for a task, the Calendar, a “thing to do today” list and more. If you don’t have access to a printer, or want to save paper, you can save a screenshot to your Photo Album.
What would be nice is the ability to email a list to yourself or anyone, showing them a task or list of tasks for the day. It would be another way to share what you are up to and whether or not someone else will be needed to help out.
As it stands, Lifease is a great tool for noting things that need to get done, organize them in a way that fits into your schedule and allows you to pull in the people who need to be involved, keeping in them in the loop with easy communication lines. I highly recommend Lifease if you need a new time management app.
