Enter the innovators of Medical PQD, Agile Surgical Assistants LLC. This team of medical professionals was created to aid patients, hospitals, and surgeons through providing high-quality, safe, and cost-effective care and to ease the stress of an overwhelmed medical system.

Miscommunication around scheduling appointments is a mutual concern for both patients and medical staff. Luckily, the wonderful folks at Agile Surgical Assistants LLC have designed an app that helps to bridge the communication gap between medical practitioners and patients. This new tool is also compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which maintains the patient’s privacy of health information within the electronic form.

To start, signing up is quick and easy, although you will be required to provide personal information, such as your phone number and email. That said, you can secure all of your information with a password for your account. As far as user identities, this app offers twelve options for registering; you can sign up as a nurse, dentist, surgeon, vendor, etc., as well as a patient.

Unfortunately, there is no free version of this app. New users are treated to a complimentary, 7-day trial but must first commit to choosing one of three, inexpensive subscription plans before moving forward. However, like most app subscription plans, a user is able to opt-out as long as they provide more than 24-hour notice prior to the date of their plan renewal.

Upon exploring this app, I choose to register as a patient (I don’t work in the medical field, so this was the only option that made sense for me). Upon confirming my subscription, I was then led to an interface that gave me four menu choices: a Video Consult, Messaging, Notifications, and a Schedule.

The video consult selection is a promising feature as it allows the user to have a virtual visit with their medical physician or practitioner. Upon exploring, the interface may require some updates and maintenance to the current app design, but it does provide a quality camera and the ability to mute if needed. Personally, I feel that this is one of the app’s key highlights. Imagine how wonderful it will be to skip the five-hour-long waiting room visit in exchange for a consultation within the comfort of your own home!

The Schedule is a calendar that assists the user in booking both their clinic and their surgery appointments. And the Messaging grants the ability for users to communicate in a chat window with one another. And for those who may be more concerned about their medical security, the app also provides a detailed privacy policy for additional reassurance.

Medical PDQ is a groundbreaking application that is especially relevant to these new and challenging times. By bringing together medical professionals and patients, communication and scheduling will become more cohesive and less confusing. This application takes the frustration out of booking appointments and sharing medical advice. The doctor will see you now.
