Healthzilla – Mindfulness and Activity Metrics Combined to Maintain Overall Health

Healthzilla app

Keeping healthy means so much more than working out on a daily basis and eating right. It also means making sure you are taking care of your mental well-being, too. This includes reducing stress levels, being in the right state of mind and being able to control stressful situations. There are so many factors that affect your overall health and an app that can monitor a variety of influencers is essential to helping you reach any health goal you have in mind.

Healthzilla is one such app. It combines metrics and information from your health trackers and apps along with the information and stats from your mindfulness apps to create an overall picture of your current state. From there it asks what your personal goals are to achieve improved health and happiness. It can be weight loss, increased strength and stability and resiliency. Whatever is important to you, Healthzilla will find a plan that you can easily follow. If it’s not easy, then it will adjust so you can introduce and maintain a routine.

What is nice is that Healthzilla works with both Apple Watch and Fitbit, two of the more widely used fitness trackers on the market. It also has the ability to sync with devices that are supported by HealthKit, which includes Garmin, Nokia, Wahoo and Xiaomi. This means it also connects to and can take advantage of data stored by apps like Lark, Lifesum, MyFitnessPal, Strava, Nike, Oak, Cardiogram, Calm and Waking Up, just to name a few.

Once you download Healthzilla, it will immediately go to work collecting information that’s already in Apple Health. This becomes your baseline, along with information that’s maintained by your Fitbit, if you have one. It uses your resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stats, workout data, steps, body fat and more to create a current picture of your wellness.

Next, you enter what your goals are and based on that, the app will design a workout program that considers your current state, your mental wellness on a daily basis, and time. If on a particular day the app notices you’ve not been your regular self, it may tone down the workout for that day and recommend a yoga session filled with stretches instead of an intense spinning class.

Free to download, Healthzilla comes packed with an assortment of workout routines and classes, which are available with a $2.99/month subscription. The app also has a nice dashboard that gives you summary of how you are doing, so you can easily see your progress and keep up your momentum.

What would be nice is to see a trending chart somewhere, so you have a pictorial representation of your progress.

If you have been in search of a health tracking app that factors in your mental well-being when designing your workouts, Healthzilla should be at the top of the list. Download today and give it a try.
