Capture and Collect Coins to Win Challenges in KlikIt

Klikit game

Some games are individual by nature, which mean it’s just you against the computer. Some games put you up against several other players that come from an online community. This can be fun, but you really don’t know who are playing or will be playing every time you open the app. Then there are games that let you invite the players that you want to play against.

Klikit is a fun game that satisfies all three types of game play. You can play offline, which means you make the moves for the two players. It gives you great practice and takes the pressure off of playing other gamers. I like to think of this gaming mode as a tutorial of sorts.

If you choose to play online with random players, you can do that too. The real fun is when you log into the game using your Facebook account. What happens then is that Klikit can see all of your Friends, which allows you to invite them to play with you. You can play against 1 to 3 players. Each of these players will need to have Klikit downloaded on their device as well. But the beauty is that you will see these friends from within the app and will be able to send them a link to join a game.

Now on to the game. The game board is set up almost looking like Candy Crush, but the removal of tiles is different. When it’s your turn, you get about 10 seconds to tap on a tile and see what happens. Here is what could happen:

  1. You get some coins. It could be just one. It could be 50. There is no telling.
  2. You could get some bonus coins in addition to the main set of coins.
  3. You can lose some coins.
  4. You could collect coins from multiple tiles once you have tapped on a row of 4 or more tiles. One thing to remember is that when you tap on a tile, it becomes yours. It will be colored the same as your Player icon window.

There are also more strategic moves you can make. You can block other players from tapping on an area of tiles by tapping on Stop It and tapping on a tile on the board. If you know what the connections are between tiles, then you can block enough of an area to prevent others from collecting coins.

There is also a Take It button that lets you collect coins from multiple tiles. This is used after you’ve placed a Stop It on a row/column of tiles. The key here is to tap on one of the free tiles that you have locked up from your opponent’s reach. This will let you collect whatever points are available along that row and column and mark your territory.

It takes a few tries to get the hang of it. While the site does not explain much about game play and how to get help, you can find a tutorial if you go to Settings. I had to view this a few times to understand the game better.

Once you play it, you’ll see how fun it is to get your Facebook friends in on the action and may be able to create a weekly challenge that keeps you and your friends vying for first place.
